D.J. Profile: Beville (Country)

Every now and then, we'll profile one of the D.J.s at AOL Radio who are responsible for bringing you the music. Here's a look at Beville, who is in charge of the Country music stations. Beville is also in charge of TheBoot.com, the web's top destination for Country music news, gossip, music videos, photos and more.

Name: Beville

Location: Nashville, TN

What music genres are you in charge of? Country

What are your favorite stations and why?

New Country First is my favorite station, because it showcases new artists, as well as the newest hits from your old favorites.

Who are your favorite artists/bands?

I think Keith Urban is a musical genius, and I have every album Pat Green has ever made. And when it comes to the best voices in country music, it's hard to top Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood. What up and coming artists/performers do you think we should be excited about?

Randy Houser, Zac Brown Band, Emily West

What is your most memorable concert experience?

I once escorted a radio contest winner backstage to meet George Strait. She burst into tears, shaking uncontrollably, when she met George. But within 2 minutes, he made her feel so comfortable with his hospitality and his "I'm just a normal guy" demeanor ... And then he, of course, put on an amazing show! I'd always been a fan of his music, but that concert also made me a fan of him as a person.

What is your biggest guilty pleasure CD that you won't admit to owning - until now?

Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits. I'll admit it, I'm a Fanilow.

If you were stranded on an island with 5 CDs, which ones would you choose?
If you could spend 24 hours with an artist, living or dead, who would it be?

Dolly Parton

What do you think the future holds for country music?

I think country music will become more and more diverse -- opening doors to more crossover acts and opening minds to accepting different styles of country music. But those who remain true to traditional country sound will also remain successful. There's room for everyone!

If you could have one superhero power, what would you choose and why?

Flying -- because I'd never lose my own luggage!

Tell us something random about yourself

The first time I ever saw Keith Urban in person was when I accidentally walked into the men's restroom at the Grand Ole Opry house. He was walking out and I literally bumped into him, realizing I'd walked through the wrong door. I then had to interview him 30 minutes later. Most embarrassing moment ever.
