54. I really have to disagree with G & R being number 9. I think Lita & Ozzy should have been number 9. Or atleast Tesla's Love song. I think one these two should have been number 9. Sorry G&R is really lame. And dude the name of that Bon Jovi song is really called Bed of Roses!! Not Bed of Nails!! Just alittle FYI for ya. Ozzy rules!!!

56. This list is a joke. When I first read the title, the first band that came to mind is REO Speedwagon. I don't know if there is a band more synonomous with power ballads than them. They were early pioneers of the power ballad, and basically perfected it. The fact that you could have chosen from "Keep on Lovin' You", "Can't Fight This Feelin'", "Time For Me to Fly", "Take it on the Run", "In My Dreams", or "Here With Me" and yet none appear on the list makes the list invalid.

63. one song I feel is missing is "Love is on the Way" by Saigon Kick. The bad thing is this song ruined their carrer....labeling them as a hair band....far from it and the predecessor to vocal greats Alice in Chains.

67. SCORPIONS - STILL LOVING YOU.
Timeless. The best ever. Coming from a true connoisseur of nearly all genres, and a musician. I love JP - Night Comes Down, Out in the Cold, and many others.. but Still Loving You is the best..

68. Tesla's LOVE SONG should be on the list Its number one in my book

69. Bands like Metallica, Aerosmith, and Foreigner should not even be on this list. In my opinion power ballads are a thing done by glam metal bands and those bands do not fall in that category. This list should have "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue, "Sometimes She Cries" by Warrant, and "When the Children Cry" by White Lion

70. You missed "When I Look Into Your Eyes" by Firehouse, "Always" and "Hearts Breaking Even" by Bon Jovi, "4000 Rainy Nights" and "Years Go By" by Stratovarius.

72. Faster Pussycat - "House of Pain". Power Ballads are strictly 80's hair bands. Newer bands should not be on the list.

78. Laura Hull (posted comment #72) is right. Power ballads are the slower, heartfelt songs performed by the otherwise wild, live fast, die hard hair bands of the 80s. Journey?! Number one?! WTF? Don't get me wrong, Faithfully is a great tune. But in NO way should it be considered a "power ballad". Laura, you rock. House of pain is number one, no matter what these fu@*^%g idiots say!!!

79. I disagree with some of them, but generally speaking, it's close.

80. If we're going to go all the way back to the early 70's for Aerosmith's, "Dream On", then I think it's only fair we include "Beth" by KISS.
My understanding of the term POWER BALLARD was that it refered to the obiligatory slow song Hair Bands added to their albums in the mid to late 80's. Some songs not on this list are Europe's, "Carrie", Saigon Kick's, "Love Is On The Way", Kingdom Come's, "What Love Will Be", Whitesnake's, "Is It Love", and Extreme's, "More Than Words".
