The Senate Judiciary Committee is convening this week to discuss the historic nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. Sotomayor is President Obama's first nominee to the Supreme Court during his administration and would be the first Puerto Rican, the first Latina woman and only the third woman to achieve such an honor. Sotomayor's nomination hearing is sure to turn interesting as Senators plan to debate on party lines whether Sotomayor would be an acceptable fit for the position.
