53. Uh, hello? What about "My Girl" and "My Guy"
And, what about "Something" by the Beatles.
Their list, not so good.

54. If they were going to pick a Bryan Adams song, what about "When You Love a Woman" from the movie Don Juan DiMarco? Great song!!!!
Posted at 10:03AM on Feb 8th 2010 by kypow1022
55. Three Times a Lady - Lionel Ritchie
The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack
Anything by the BeeGees
Most songs by the Righteous Brothers
A few songs by Johnny Mathis

56. I'm a former Recon Special Marine. I'v been in three war campains. I'm a formidable man. I'm a warrior. When it comes to love songs I turn in to pussycat.

57. The Top 10 Love Songs?????.....really a crappy list EXCEPT for the Carpenters. Where are some of the classics?....Sinatra, Mathis, even Bread's "If". What in the world is Sheriff doing on here?....I'm happy to see at least a Carpenters song on here. Karen was & remains one of the FINEST & most beloved female singers of our time! KAREN CARPENTER ROCKS!

58. How could you miss "HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE" by the Beatles!!?? or "And I Love Her"!
Posted at 11:05AM on Feb 8th 2010 by Guitarlen
59. Also, "TIME AFTER TIME" By Cyndi!!
Posted at 3:40PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Guitarlen
60. Puhlease! That Titanic song by Celine is the one most requested NOT to be sung at Weddings. And Whitney Houston doesn't SING, she screams her effin' brain out in that crappy song. And for the person who doesn't like Karen Carpenter's voice, get your hearing checked. I prefer her voice over any other female I've ever heard. Ironically, she wanted to be known as a good drummer, which she was also extremely good at.

61. Not well known (except amongst die hard fans) but Bruce Springsteen does a song called 'Happy' that is, imo, one of the best love songs ever.
Posted at 11:27AM on Feb 8th 2010 by Jilly
62.
Unchained Melody...end of story!
Posted at 11:39AM on Feb 8th 2010 by Janie
63. Nat King Cole- Unforgettable- my favorite
Posted at 11:50AM on Feb 8th 2010 by Connie Shepard
64. " Something " by the Beatles, the greatest love song ever written according to Mr. Frank Sinatra, and I have to agree
Posted at 12:27PM on Feb 8th 2010 by jsc4317
65. Agree with most of these...Have heard of #4,but could pick plenty of others that have more "kick" and airplay than this one.Longest note? That puts it on the list?
No Elton? "Your Song"?
Celine's #1 song? Thought "Falling Into You" from that CD was even better!
"Right Here Waiting"...Great! What about his "Now & Forever"? Awesome and profound lovesong!
Also,I love Clapton's music, but wouldn't have put "Wonderful Tonight" in the Top Ten.
Vying for the #4 Spot:
"Evergreen" by Barbra Streisand (Come'on!...This song has won so many awards,it's mind-blowing!NTM,it's my fav song.)
"How Deep Is Your Love" by the Bee Gees. Its omission from the list is blatantly apparent. No ignoring this song!
"I Go Crazy" by Paul Davis has also won quite a few awards and is one of the coolest songs because of its musical arrangement.
"Just The way You Are" by Billy Joel.I've heard this thousands of times on quite a number of stations, and never tire of hearing it.The music and the words...Come'on,...it's not in the top ten?!
"Longer" by Dan Fogelberg. This is another award winner! No avoiding this song either, and most if not all of his other songs.Awesome songwriter!Speaking of which...
"Danny's Song" by Kenny Loggins, amongst others of his.Who doesn't know the words to this song (at least the chorus)?
Bravo,Richard & Karen!
No Manilow?! "Ships"-lovesong about father and son not count as a lovesong, huh? My fav of his."Somewhere Down The Road",perhaps?

66. My husband and I have been married for over 51 years. We had nothing when we married but through the years he has made all of my dreams come true. Our favorite song is "Through The Years"by Kenny Rogers..it really says it all.

67. My husband and I have been married for over 51 years. When we got married we had nothing, but through the years he has made all of my dreams come true. Our favorite song is "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers. It really says it all!
Posted at 9:57PM on Feb 8th 2010 by carol
68. Have to say,...everyone lauding The Carpenters is right on the mark! Karen's voice,Richard's arrangements and playing...Can't get much better than that!
"Endless Love" is or was the best-selling duet of all-time.Should be in at least the Top Twenty!
Also, what about "I've Finally Found Someone" by Barbra and Bryan? Another award winner and incredible duet (songwriterwise too)!

69. I would add another to this list. Orleans did You're Still The One.

71. "Lady in Red" by Chris DeBurgh; the most romantic song ever. And what about "As Time Goes By?"
Posted at 1:40PM on Feb 8th 2010 by starla
72. Perhaps this goes back before "memory", but if you love "love songs" Ed Ames' "My Cup Runneth Over With Love" will be up there....and the all time favorite, "Jesus Loves Me This I Know."
Posted at 1:49PM on Feb 8th 2010 by nama
73. What about Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole...only to mention a VERY FEW. Writers like Porter, Gershwin, and others of that era wrote timeless love songs..Ever listened to the lyrics to "You Go To My Head".Try this..."You Go To My Head, with a smile that makes my temperature rise, like a summer with a thousand Julys, you intoxicate my soul with your eyes. How romantic and poetic is that? How can anyone be so audacious as to single out THE 10 BEST LOVE SONGS". How about "10 of SOME of the best love songs through the years"? I do enjoy all the songs you've chosen, though celine's "Run to You" is tops on my list.Somehow though, the songs of the 40's really knew how to express love and romance, and really reach the heart. Basically there's just too many incredible love songs through our musical history to ever be able to target 10 as the best.....unless, of course, thats simply one persons opinion, and everyone is entitled to that right. Just don't try to speak like authorities for the rest of us..Thanks!

75. It is unfortunate that you've decided, to show your very limited knowledge; of music appreciation. If that is not the case, then you must be a Caucasoid who don't know, or have no appreciation; for a variety of music. Just take a look at your list...totally [so called] white. What type of music aficionado are you? Variety is the spice of life...any real "music lover," would know that. Get with it!

76. I AGREE WITH # 50. THE ABOVE 10 ARE LAME, LAME, LAME!!!!!
Posted at 2:11PM on Feb 8th 2010 by CHARLIE
77. Why not one black artist in this list? Why not any song by any minority in this list? I am confused, can minorities not sing love songs too? How about I will Always love you by Whitney Houston, 1 of the biggest selling songs of all times. Whoever did this list, has a closed mind.
Posted at 2:18PM on Feb 8th 2010 by JeffskiIII
78. These were not on the list:
Always On My Mind - Willy Nelson
Faithfully - Journey
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion
Posted at 2:30PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Kurt
79. Again, like always, black folks are invisible to white folks. This List isnt long enough. We have lots to contribute to popular culture. Whomever made this is an incosiderate racist. What about Stevie, Luther, or even MJ? It's even Black History Month now! You've ignored some deserving white artists, too. You whites don't surprise me, but you never fail to disappoint to snub us blacks.

80. John Denver's Annie's Song - clearly overlooked. If you have never heard it, google it, listen to those lyrics. Songs just don't get written like that anymore.
Posted at 3:08PM on Feb 8th 2010 by PucksInTheNet
81. You call these the greatest love songs of all-time and then you include no oldies? Frank Sinatra, who knew a little bit about love songs, said that "Something" by the Beatles was the greatest love song he had ever heard.
Posted at 3:24PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Tdtom7
82. Michael W. Smith-Love of My Life!! Billy Joel-Until the Night! Linda Ronstadt-Someone to Lay Down Beside Me. Lionel Ritchie-Still, Were All Alone-by Boz Scaggs, Restless Heart-I'll Still Be Loving You & Stevie Wonder-"As"
Posted at 3:34PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Barbara Smith

Posted at 5:31PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Charles Neal
84. What about "My heart will go on" from Titanic?
And, don't forget the theme from Romeo and Juliet and Love Story?
Posted at 3:59PM on Feb 8th 2010 by Pauline
85. Why would you want to add Whitney Houstons' "I will always love you" to this list? The song is about how although she loves him she knows that they could never be together. Yeah. Sounds like a great wedding song, too. Not!
Posted at 4:00PM on Feb 8th 2010 by pottrbear
