Dancehall Radio - Station Spotlight
With Jamaican roots, Dancehall originated in the '70s as a less political variant of reggae, later developing into "ragga" (deejay-led digital instrumentation, synthesized chanting, and a faster rhythmic pulse than reggae). Listen to Dancehall radio, and you'll hear anything from reggae-fused R&B, Latin, hip-hop and even punk.
What You'll Hear: Elephant Man, Beres Hammond, I Wayne, Jah Cure, Mr. Easy, Buccaneer, Damian "Junior Gong" Marley, Beenie Man, Gyptian, Lady Saw, Garnett Silk, Wayne Wonder, Sean Paul, Little Lenny, Ninjaman, Wayne Smith, Pinchers and more.
