AOL Radio iPhone Update - High Quality Audio Streams & Bug Fixes

We've posted a new update to the AOL Radio iPhone app which is now available in the iTunes Store. You can download or update the AOL Radio iPhone app for free on either through iTunes or the App Store app on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The new version of the app now allows users to stream high quality, near-CD quality audio (128kbps streams) over the 3G network for iPhone users.

We've also made general enhancements to the app to improve the experience for both iPhone and iPod Touch users, including bug fixes to address app crashes and station disconnects that some people have reported.

Below are instructions on how to enable high quality streams over 3G.

To enable high quality streams over the 3G network:

1. Make sure you have an iPhone 3G or 3GS (this is not recommended for the original iPhone) and the latest OS update from Apple.

2. Go to the Settings icon from the Home Screen of your iPhone or iPod Touch and scroll to the bottom where your Application settings are listed. Tap on the AOL Radio setting.

3. Flip the switch to enable high quality streams on your cell network.

4. Return to the AOL Radio iPhone app and begin enjoying high quality audio on-the-go!

The good news is that you only have to enable this once for as long as you have the app installed. Now enjoy high quality AOL Radio streams on the go with you whether you're walking down the street, on the subway or driving in your car.
