The lawsuit between Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines and Terry Hobbs (stepfather of Stevie Branch, one of the three 8-year-old boys murdered in Arkansas back in '93) was dropped. The federal judge ruled that the singer cannot be sued for libel because she based her statements (posted on the Dixie Chick's site) on legal docs she believed to be true.
