'Heartkiller' is the first single off H.I.M.'s upcoming seventh studio album 'Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice,' dropping Feb. 9. The song leans more towards alternative rock, which is different than their previous hard metal sound. Frontman Ville Valo croons about overcoming the hardships of love, and taking a chance: "Farewell heartless world / I'll send you a postcard burnt in flames / You've tried so hard to extinguish with the fear of failing / I'll write down everything I have learned / And edit it down to a single word / Love / For you I'm waiting, anticipating." Their new album was produced by Matt Squire (Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Saosin) and mixed by Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Weezer, Fall Out Boy). The band's US Tour will debut in March 2010.
