'Fear Campaign' is Fear Factory's second single off their forthcoming album 'Mechanize,' dropping Feb. 9. The recently reformed band now includes the band's veteran guitarist Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell, as well as newcomers bassist Byron Stroud and drummer Gene Hoglan (who's past work includes Dethklok and Strapping Young Lad, among others).
The song's lyrics cover more than the world's one-dimensional perception of paranoia and fear, but rather as vocalist Bell puts it: "The world today has become the world that writers predicted long ago. The controlling authorities are constantly, and successfully, utilizing fear tactics to control the masses. Fear is control." The single's paired music video is the first to be released off the album, directed by Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci alongside producer Ryan Kohler and is expected to debut in mid-January.
