These aren't my all-time 10 favorite songs (although I guess I listen to my 10 favorite songs really loud, too). This list is 10 songs that always make me turn my stereo up as loud as it can go. I don't know what it is but each of these songs has some unexplainable, special power that forces me to turn the volume up whenever they come on. Plus, they just sound really great LOUD.
How did I miss this song until recently? My brother put it on a mix for me and I love it. I love the drums, the horns, the performance. I like that it starts off really in your face but then it goes to different places musically, which is funny because I think I may have skipped over this song the first time because it came on a little strong. Basically, if I judged this song on the intro I would have missed out on a great track that I listen to all the time now.

This song always puts me in a good mood. Even though it's called 'Rolled Up,' it's the kind of song you wanna drive around to with your windows rolled down.
Royce absolutely kills this beat. There is just no other way to put it. This whole album is amazing. Regardless, why the hell doesn't he just go by the simple name of "Royce" as his stage name? Ridiculous.
I have no idea what they're saying. Maybe Ron Burgundy's dog can translate? P.S. -- If I ever make a movie, this song will open up the film with palm trees, aerial shots over some tropical body of water spliced with shots of people partying on the beach, 'Miami Vice' style.
OK, I'm Jewish and I think my mom thought I was meshuganah when I was blasting gospel music in my bedroom as a kid, but I just love it. Yes lord, Hallelujah! And if that "Hallelujah" vamp in this song doesn't move you, I'm sorry but nothing ever will. (Side note for musician geeks like me -- I think we counted something like 12 key changes in the song. Not to mention the four false endings. Crazy. Love love the gospel drummer just shredding.)
Haha, I never even knew the name of this track until I had to look it up for this list (which is crazy considering how many times I've listened to it). My good friend Havas is famous for making hip-hop mixes for our friends, and this song is one of my absolute favorites he's ever turned me on to. This beat, and Pep Love's flow over it, is exactly what makes me love hip-hop music
I'm a complete sucker for this one because it's... "our song". My wife loves country music and until a few years ago I couldn't stand it. She succeeded in converting me into a fan, and I totally get it now. When we visit her parents out in the country where she grew up, we like to drive around all the unpaved roads at night blasting country music, and this song brings up memories of how much fun we have doing that. Aside from my sappy explanation of this song, I must say that even if I wasn't a fan of country music, the studio musicians in Nashville are amazing and it'd be worth listening to this song, and others, based on the musicianship alone.
This is a head-bobber. One of those beats I wouldn't mind if it just went on for hours.
I heard this song on the radio. I can't remember the last time I actually heard a song on the radio that got me excited. Granted it was some obscure channel on satellite radio, but radio nonetheless. It was so refreshing, and I just think this is a great song.
This song rocks face. It's hard as hell, but I think it's pretty amazing how they are able to incorporate chill breakdowns and jazzy loops. It gives the loud parts of the songs a nice platform to kick off from. I could do without the screaming in your face at the very end though. What is he saying, Baxter?
