Allison Iraheta 'Scars' -- New Song

Allison Iraheta Scars

'Scars' is Allison Iraheta's second single off her December-released debut 'Just Like You.' A slower, acoustic ballad -- compared to the punk rock Max Martin-produced single 'Friday I'll Be Over U' -- the Pink-sounding number is dripping in father/daughter issues as Iraheta sings about trying her best, in hopes that her father will come around and accept her for who she is: "It's not like you don't know what you got yourself into / Don't tell me I'm the one who's naive / Do you know how hard I've tried / To become who you want me to be?"

Performed by Iraheta on the elimination episode of 'American Idol' yesterday (Feb. 25), 'Scars' is one of the many songs (others 'Robot Love,' 'Trouble Is' and 'Friday I'll Be Over U') critically-appraised off her debut album that showcases her husky yet powerful vocals and spunky attitude.
