'Heartstrings' is the lead single and title track to his forthcoming album, set to release March 11. In the playful, bubblegum pop single, MacIntyre is telling a girl: "you're pulling my heartstrings" over infectious Jonas Brothers-sounding guitar riffs.
The American Idol alum penned all 12 of the pop rock tracks on his forthcoming album, available exclusively on iTunes and his website -- which fittingly coincides with his return to 'American Idol,' also on March 11. He and fellow season eight finalist Matt Giraud will perform a dueling pianos rendition of the Billy Joel's 'Tell Her About It.'
