Coheed and Cambria 'Year of the Black Rainbow' -- New Album

Coheed and Cambria Year of the Black Rainbow

'Year of the Black Rainbow' is Coheed and Cambria's fifth concept album, set to release April 13, and the first installment of The Amory Wars comic series helmed by frontman Claudio Sanchez. Following the band's story-line theme, the album (lyrically) is the prequel to the band's debut 'Second Stage Turbine Blade' -- which is great for story-indulgent fans, who get a 352-page novel 'Year of the Black Rainbow,' (if they purchase the deluxe edition) penned by the band's Claudio Sanchez and New York Times Bestselling author Peter David.

The deluxe also features a "Making of" DVD featuring studio and interview footage and, get this concert goers, a Coheed and Cambria Black Card which allows fans early entrance to select shows, discounts on band merch and exclusive downloads and other offers.

Produced by Atticus Ross (who has previously worked with Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addiction) and Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool), the album boasts notable tracks such as the melodic instrumental 'One,' the rock anthem heavy 'Guns of Summer' and the official single 'We Are Juggernaut.'
