'Diamond Eyes' is Deftones' title track and lead single off their sixth studio album set to release May 18. Although still heavy with guitar riffs, the lead single is slightly more post grunge next to the free-downloadable and vocal-driven 'Rocket Skates.'
As mentioned in previous blogs, 'Diamond Eyes' -- recorded in just two months -- follows the unreleased and shelved (possibly indefinitely) 'Eros.' It is also the first album including bassist Sergio Vega, the band's stand-in for Chi Cheng (who is still in a coma following a November 2008 car accident).
