Lollapalooza 2010 Lineup

What was originally meant to be a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell, Lollapalooza has turned into an annual showcase for alternative rock, hip-hop and punk bands. Their inaugural 1991 festival had acts as diverse as Siouxsie and the Banshees, Ice-T and Nine Inch Nails grace the stage.

Set for Aug. 6-8 in Chicago's Grant Park, Lollapalooza 2010 continues that alternative spirit. Rumors in March of Lady Gaga, Green Day and Soundgarden headlining the festival have now been confirmed as of April 6, along with the entire lineup, which includes the likes of Arcade Fire, Cut Copy, Dirty Projectors, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Green Day and the xx.

General admission and Lolla Lounge VIP tickets for the three-day festival went on sale March 30. The Early Bird and Advance passes are already sold out, but the regular three-day pass is still available; and if you are feeling ambitious, the VIP and travel packages are still available as well.
