'Between the Lines' is Stone Temple Pilots' debut single off their self-titled album, a first in nine years, due out May 25. Capping at only 2:49, the rock glam track with heavy guitar-crunching riffs features Scott Weiland's vocals almost immediately as he delivers Nirvana-sounding slurs in the chorus: "I like it when we talk about love, even when we used to take drugs."
STP launched a condensed city tour just last week in Austin, using SXSW to preview some of their new material. You can check out upcoming tour dates here. Other tracks on the record -- also previewed at SXSW -- are Bowie-inspired 'Hickory Dichotomy' and 'Jean Genie,' as well as rock-heavy 'Bag Man' and 'Huckleberry Crumble.'
