EA launched the ad for their recently released game 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' paired with the equally intense, rock anthem 'You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire' by Queens of the Stone Age. The heart-stopping, head-banging opening track to their classic 2002 album, 'Songs for the Deaf' adds to the hype and the power of the epic war video game.
'Songs for the Deaf' is the only Queens of the Stone Age album that features guest drummer and Foo Fighters member Dave Grohl, who is also part of the the trio supergroup Them Crooked Vultures with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones.
And Grohl's inclusion is apparent on the percussion-driven album as well as the hit anthem 'Millionaire' showcased in the ad. As the track's crunchy bass growls with every explosion in the commercial's urban assault scenarios, Grohl's muted snare pops as bullets and shrapnel rain from the sky. The result is simple -- for a minute, every man in America is not only a testosterone-charged soldier, but a rock star.
"Pressurize, neutralize / Deep fried, gimme some more!" lead singer Josh Homme screams. Check out the commercial below!
