Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon come together for their side-project 'Wu Massacre,' in stores today, March 30. An (almost) 20-year collabo of working together -- who are part of the helmed-Staten Island group Wu-Tang -- is eminent in this project, which also features notable producers, RZA, Allah Mathematics, Ty Fyffe, Digem, Emile and Scram Jones.
Notable tracks are 'Our Dreams,' which blends the trio's delivery while sampling Michael Jackson's Motown hit, 'We're Almost There,' as well as the Digem Tracks Productions-helmed 'Gunshowers,' which includes Sun God and Inspectah Deck. The 'Mef vs. Chef, Part II' features eight-bar trade-offs between Method Man and Raekwon over trumpet back beats, and is a follow-up to the 'Meth vs. Chef' on Method Man's 1994 effort 'Tical.' 'Criminology 2.5' ties in all three rappers. Cut from Raekwown's fourth studio album 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II,' the track now includes the Ghostface Killah verse from the song 'The Badlands'(also off the sequel) and a new Method Man verse.
The cover designs -- such as the one featured above -- were created by Marvel Comics artist Chris Bachalo (who also created artwork for Death, Sandman, Captain America and the X-Men series).
