Summerfest 2010 Lineup

It's known as "The Big Gig" for a reason: Summerfest is an 11-day concert featuring over 800 bands on 11 stages, set on the 75-acre Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In fact, in 1999 the event was officially crowned the world's largest music festival by the Guinness World Records. And boy, if you can't find at least a few bands to like here, you must pretty much must hate music -- everything from alternative to zydeco is played.

Summerfest has been running since 1968, run by the non-profit organization Milwaukee World Festival. The 2010 festival takes place June 24-July 4. Tickets are $8 for weekday admission noon to 4pm, $15 anytime general admission, $33 for a three-day pass, and $3 for kids 10 and under and seniors 60 and up.

You can expect big names at this year's festival: Tim McGraw, Modest Mouse, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Tom Petty an the Heartbreakers and The Hold Steady, to name a few artists.
