The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Blur, Lily Allen, Babyshambles, Hot Chip, Pet Shop Boys and Bat For Lashes are among the 12 acts releasing seven-inch vinyl records for this year's Record Store Day, on April 17. Specifically, the Beatles will release a vinyl edition of 'Paperback Writer' with 'Rain' on the B-side. Other releases mentioned are a newly recorded Blur song (title has yet to be announced), as well as the Stones' A-side 'Plundered My Soul' -- a recently re-discovered track from the recording sessions for 1971's 'Exile on Main Street' album -- backed by the rollicking 'All Down the Line.' (Side note: both will be featured on the May 18 reissue of 'Exile on Main Street.')
All limited editions are released through the Parlophone label and will be exclusive to the yet-to-be-announced independent records' stores taking part in the event. For more details on the Record Store Day releases and other music news, refer to the links below.
