'Fractured (Everything I Said Was True)' is Taproot's debut single off their fifth studio album 'Plead the Fifth,' in stores May 11. Recorded on a farm in Sullivan, Michigan, the album's helmed by producer Tim Patalan and will be the first album with Victory Records.
According to Noisecreep, the album's sound will resemble more of 2000's 'Gift' than 2008's 'Our Long Road Home,' evident in 'Fractured (Everything I Said Was True),' which is heavily focused on lower-ranged guitar chords: "We're definitely making it as heavy as possible and aggressive while still keeping a lot of the beautiful melodies and just the general beauty of things in it," says guitarist Mike DeWolf. "We're using a lot more of our baritone guitars, which was sort of the signature of the 'Gift' and 'Welcome' years, so that immediately makes things a lot heavier."
