Atlanta-based MC Gucci Mane just released his new mixtape 'The Burrrprint 2 HD' on April 13,' which follows his major label debut 'The State Vs. Radric Davis' that dropped four months ago. Keep in mind that MC is adding to his discography while he is still behind bars. Helmed by DJ Holiday, all 24 tracks on the mixtape were recorded prior to Mane serving time except his 'Intro' and 'Outro,' tracks Mane spewed from a phone at Fulton Country Jail. A slew of guest artists, Luda, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross, among others add to the 24-track compilation, which includes monologues as well as tracks. Highlights include 'Atlanta Zoo,' where Luda undoubtedly runs with it in the bridge, varying his delivery over moderate back beats, as well as 'Beat It Up,' a catchy, playful sex tune, with subtle electro melodies under the repetitive chorus line "Imma beat it Up."
Other notable tracks are 'Coca Coca,' a nine-minute effort with Rocko, OJ Da Juiceman, Waka Flocka, Shawty Lo, Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj delivering lines about drug trade and 'Boy From the Block,' which features high-pitched auto-tune vocals in the chorus -- a technique similarly used in Ludacris' hit 'How Low.'
