An eclectic group of artists represented Canada at the Juno Awards this past week, diving out trophies to K'Naan, Drake, Metric and Michael Bublé, among others. Highlights include electro-pop Metric's win for Group of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year and Drake's win for Rap Recording of the Year and New Artist of the Year -- beating tween heartthrob Justin Bieber.
The Somali-born rapper K'Naan won Songwriter of the Year and Artist of the Year, and performed his anthem 'Wavin' Flag' last night, which will be a highlighted track during 2010's FIFA World Cup. Michael Bublé took home Best Pop Album for 'Crazy Love,' as well as the Fan Choice award and Single and Album of the Year (for 'Haven't Met You Yet' and 'Crazy Love, respectively).
