'Kissin' U' is the lead single off Miranda Cosgrove's debut solo album 'Sparks Fly,' in stores April 27. The Nickelodeon 'iCarly' star co-wrote the lyrics with Lukasz Gottwald (who has worked with Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Kesha) and Claude Kelly (who has written songs for Leona Lewis and Britney Spears). With a bubblegum pop sound and puppy love lyrics ("Cause when I'm kissing you / My senses come alive / Almost like the puzzle piece / I've been trying to find / Falls right into place") 'Kissin' U' taps into the tween pop demographic that includes the likes of Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, among others.
You may remember Cosgrove as the cute yet snooty Summer Hathaway in 2003's 'School of Rock.' 'Sparks Fly' (which you can listen to in its entirety on AOL Music's homepage until May 2) follows 2008's 'iCarly' soundtrack. Tune into AOL Radio's Kids Pop station to hear Cosgrove's new track.
