'Last of the American Girls' is Green Day's fifth single off their Grammy Award-winning rock opera '21st Century Breakdown.' Featured in Act II of the rock opera, the song has Billy Joe Armstrong singing about about a girl with steadfast, assertive beliefs. In the theatrical music video -- which was directed by Marc Webb and debuted around April 1 (just weeks before the 'American Idiot' premiere on Broadway) -- the protagonist (played by Lisa Stelly who also made a cameo in the band's '21 Guns' video) meanders around her apartment set in a vast desert, looking bored while backup dancers emulate '60s bopping moves.
