Ireland's biggest weekend of music returns this summer with Oxegen Festival 2010, a massive three-day celebration that runs from July 9-11 and features many of today's most popular rock, dance and hip-hop acts. This will mark the seventh year tens of thousands of music lovers camp out on the festival grounds, located slightly southeast of Dublin, to spend the weekend with their favorite bands. (You could also call it the 11th year, if you count the four times it was known as the Witnness Festival and held in a different location.)A diverse collection of headliners such as Arcade Fire, Eminem, Muse, Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas are expected to make Oxegen Festival 2010 the most popular edition to date. Oxegen is often considered a companion to Scotland's T in the Park festival, with many bands switching spots to play both events, which take place on the same weekend.
Wireless Festival 2010 also features carnival rides, artist signing booths, music workshops, chill-out areas, and stores filled with exclusive merchandise from the bands at the festival. Tickets are still available from the festival's official site. You can purchase a single day pass for €99.50 or a full three-day pass for €199.50. Various camping and parking passes are also available for additional fees from this site.
