'Beautiful Monster' is Ne-Yo's first single off his upcoming fourth studio album 'Libra Scale,' set to hit stores Sept. 21. Penned by Ne-Yo and produced by Stargate, 'Beautiful Monster' features Ne-Yo's R&B pipes over strobing, dancefloor beats that climax in the chorus: "She's a monster, beautiful monster, beautiful monster, but I don't mind / And I need her, said I need her."
Ne-Yo seems torn between what is right and wrong -- how he can be "turned on but scared," as his love interest is "playin' with [his] heart and...mind."
'Beautiful Monster' marks Ne-Yo's first single in over a year-and-a-half, following the release of his RIAA platinum album 'Year of the Gentleman,' which spawned hit singles 'Closer,' 'Miss Independent' and 'Mad.'
