LeAnn Rimes' new single, 'Swingin',' is just that. The new single -- a cover of John Anderson's 1983 hit -- will be featured on her upcoming album, 'Lady and Gentlemen,' which will highlight the singer's favorite country love songs. The song, from the singer's collaboration with producer Vince Gill, was originally slated for a summer release, but because Rimes has been conducting several live performances and television appearances to benefit Nashville flood victims, the release date was pushed up.
From the opening line of the track, it's clear that this is exactly the kind of love song to help you up, and get you movin'. With rolling guitars pushing her forward, Rimes belts out enthusiastically, in her characteristically bold voice, about a "cute" boy in her neighborhood whose "name is Charlie Jackson and he's lookin' really good."
It's the same exquisite blend of old-time country meets contemporary rock-and-roll that defines Rimes' signature sound -- and judging from its early fan reception, the song is bound to be just as popular as her previous hits. Listen to 'Summer Day' right now, on AOL Radio's New Country First station.

1. How dare you butcher John Anderson's Swingin!!! What is wrong with you? You took a classic and made it in to "JUNK." You should be ashamed of yourself!
