The recent Nike commercial starring basketball great Kobe Bryant features Outkast rapper Andre 3000 performing a cover of The Beatles classic 'All Together Now.' The song is now available to purchase from the iTunes online store. 'All Together Now' was written by Paul McCartney during the sessions for 1967's 'Magical Mystery Tour' album. However, it was not released until1969, on the soundtrack for the Fab Four's acclaimed animated movie 'Yellow Submarine.' The band also chose the song as the film's closing scene.
In the commercial, Kobe is shown holding a championship trophy and extending his fingers in time to Andre counting out "1,2,3,4 / Can I have a little more?" -- an obvious reference to Bryant's pursuit of a 5th NBA title. The jaunty, acoustic guitar-based sing-a-long continues with a montage of exciting plays from throughout Bryant's career as fans, celebrities and fellow players are shown reacting in wonder and amazement.
