The recent commercial for ABC's new upcoming vampire television series 'The Gates' features The Black Keys performing 'Howlin' for You' from their new album 'Brothers.' The two-piece band from Akron, Ohio traveled to Alabama to produce 'Brothers,' their sixth album, at the famous Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, where legendary soul artists such as Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin and The Staples Singers have all recorded.
The song's stomping drums, fuzzed out guitars and "la dah dah dah dah" chants can be heard on the commercial, as brief scenes -- promising tales of supernatural lust, betrayal and revenge among the rich and well-dressed vampires -- flash across the screen. 'The Gates' debuts June 20 on ABC.
You can check out the commercial below, and listen to 'Howlin for You' and other Black Keys tracks on AOL Radio's New Indie First station.
