Finnish symphonic metal band Apocalyptica released their first single, 'End of Me,' off their seventh studio album, fittingly titled '7th Symphony.' Opening with looping, electric cello runs, the percussion-driven anthem features Bush's Gavin Rossdale on vocals, wailing about his doom as a result of a failed relationship: "Take away your broken misery, I can't always erase your memory / This love, this love is gonna be the end of me / Everything I gave is wasted, I'm the one who suffocated."
'End of Me' is one of four tracks to include featured vocalists. The rest of the album will be instrumental, including a song, titled '2010,' which features guest drums by Dave Lombardo of Slayer.
The quartet -- three classically trained cellists and, since 2003, a drummer -- will be dropping '7th Symphony' on Aug. 24. The forthcoming release is a follow-up to 2007's 'World's Collide,' which featured the hit 'I Don't Care' with Adam Gontier.
