Fewer bands are as unique as Damon Albarn's concept group, Gorillaz, and fewer songs are as hypnotically catchy as the group's latest track 'Rhinestone Eyes.'Off of the critically acclaimed album, 'Plastic Beach,' 'Rhinestone Eyes' captures everything that makes Gorillaz so refreshingly different. The group throws hip-hop beats against an electronic wall of sound, to create a brand of music that's truly its own. And, as in previous Gorillaz hits, this single features strangely poetic lyrics ("a scary gargoyle on a tower / That you made with plastic power"), adding to the group's mystique.
'Plastic Beach,' the third studio album from Gorillaz, was released in March, and features the singles 'Stylo' and 'On Melancholy Hill.'
