'Talkin' 2 Myself' is a remarkably confessional track from Eminem's new album 'Recovery.' With help from R&B singer Kobe, the notoriously unfiltered rapper reveals past feelings of jealousy towards peers such as Lil Wayne and Kayne West -- even admitting that the abuse of prescription pills affected the quality of his last two albums. Over a funky, propulsive guitar line, the newly sober Eminem chronicles how self-doubt and drug paranoia almost led him to start feuds with the two aforementioned stars. He's grateful for not doing so, bluntly admitting that in his affected condition he "would have had my ass handed to me."
Meanwhile, R&B singer Kobe wants to make sure Eminem's message gets across, urgently singing the song's hook: "Can anybody hear me? / I guess I keep talkin' to myself / It feels like I'm going insane / Am I the one whose crazy?"
'Recovery,' Enimen's seventh studio album, is available today, June 21. You can also check out AOL Radio's New Hip-Hop First station to hear 'Talkin' 2 Myself' from Eminem and Kobe.
