'Come Back Song' is indeed a new song from Darius Rucker, but it's hardly any part of a comeback. Darius, best known as the lead singer of '90s hit makers Hootie & the Blowfish, has established himself as a rising country music star over the past couple of years thanks to the success of his platinum 2008 solo album 'Learn to Live.' 'Come Back Song' is the first single from his second, currently untitled country album, which is expected in stores later this year. Crisp drumming and steel guitars dominate this upbeat "take me back" song -- with everything from the weather to his coffee betraying our hero, now that his girl left him: "Cause I didn't know I needed you so / And letting you go was wrong / And baby I know you got your radio on / So this is my so sad, comeback song."
Darius will be touring throughout the summer, primarily as an opening act for country superstar Brad Paisley. You can listen to 'Come Back Song' on AOL Radio's New Country First station.
