Controversial pop diva Lady Gaga talks about the heartbreak that led to her personal re-invention five years ago in the new issue of Rolling Stone. The issue, which features Gaga on the cover sporting a machine-gun shaped bra and little more, comes out on newsstands today, June 23.
The singer reveals that a rough breakup with her ex-boyfriend back in 2005 caused her to dive headfirst into the Lady Gaga character. "When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl," she says. "Then I say, 'Bitch, you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today.'"
She also confesses to using Michael Jackson as a role model in terms of how to live as a celebrity, and how she refuses to even drink water on stage in order to maintain the perfect image.
Gaga is currently in the midst of a massive world tour, and says she's nearly done with her next studio album, whose title she's considering revealing -- via tattoo, naturally -- at the stroke of midnight this upcoming New Year's Eve.
