Ringo Starr turns 70 today, July 7, and his single, and only, birthday wish, is to have "peace and love." Specifically, Ringo wants to continue the 'All You Need is Love' message the Fab Four instilled in the '60s, by way of twitter or any other communicative means. The legendary drummer, singer and songwriter spoke with Spinner recently, discussing the universal themes in his most recent albums, why he's still rocking out, and of course, his birthday wish: "At noon, wherever you are in the world; but in America while I'm talking to you – you're in Florida, Atlanta, L.A., anywhere – at 12 noon wherever you are, just for me, if you could put your fingers up and go, "Peace and love," that would be great,' Ringo asks. "That's the world's present to me."
Starr and his All Starr Band -- featuring Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer and Gary Wright, among others -- will be performing a series of US dates, including a concert today, on his birthday, at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
