Country sensation Carrie Underwood married NHL Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher over the weekend, according to The Boot. The couple's private ceremony was held at the Ritz-Carlton lodge in Greensboro, Ga. The 250 guests that attended had no idea of the wedding's destination -- only told to show up at the airport where they were subsequently flown by private planes to the festivities.
Fisher popped the question December 20, 2009 (after, of course, asking Carrie's father first for her hand in marriage), presenting her with a Jonathon Arndt-designed, supposedly five-carat yellow diamond ring, estimated to be valued around six figures.
The couple plan to continue their relationship long-distance, living in both Nashville and Ottawa. "He brings out the best in me, he's a good person." Carrie confessed to The Boot in a interview last November. "I've felt myself grow with him. He's one of those certain people in your life you come across for a reason. I'm very glad that I met him. He's been a really positive influence on my life."
