Avenged Sevenfold, 'Welcome to the Family' -- New Song

'Welcome to the Family' is a hard-hitting new track from Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming album 'Nightmare.' Out July 27, the fifth studio effort is the hard rock band's first since the tragic 2009 passing of founding drummer James 'The Rev' Sullivan.

The song's stuttering, thrashing guitars are sure to get metalheads' necks in full whiplash mode right away. Special guest drummer Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater leads the band through complex rhythmic twists and turns, as lead singer Matthew Sanders invites everyone to accept the maniac within: "We all have emptiness inside / We all have answers to find / But you can't win this fight!"

'Welcome to the Family" follows the title track 'Nightmare' onto the airwaves, and is sure to get fans moving throughout Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming summer tour.
