Pete Yorn, 'Precious Stone' -- New Song

In his new song, 'Precious Stone,' Pete Yorn uses upbeat brushstrokes to paint a strangely bleak portrait of effervescent love. The track opens up with a hearty, peppy guitar-laced rhythm, while Yorn waxes poetic about his one love.

As the song evolves, though, Yorn's enthusiasm begins to wane, and his electric exuberance gradually dies down. By the end of the song, Yorn resigns himself to the reality of never experiencing the full potential of the woman before him. He sings, "I wanna be with you forever / I wanna be your precious stone / I'll never be your precious stone."
