Good Charlotte, 'Like It's Her Birthday' -- New Song

Good Charlotte have released their first single, 'Like It's Her Birthday,' off their highly-anticipated upcoming fifth studio album, 'Cardiology,' expected in stores Oct. 26. The single was first heard when the group appeared at 2010's Bamboozle Road Show back in May.

With choppy electric guitar riffs and catchy "eh, eh, eh"s and "oh, oh, oh"s, the song breaks into a full pop rock song by the chorus, as Joel Madden comes to terms with his "girlfriend"'s antics, stating, "She's so wasted, acting crazy / Making a scene, Like it's her birthday." By 2:37, you'll want to play air guitar along an epic solo, that, well, takes us back to the '80s hair metal genre.

"We made [the] record almost to completion," Joel told Billboard about the difficult recording process. "Then we started listening to the rough mixes... and we were just so disappointed in ourselves." The band decided to scrap almost all of the album and start from scratch. "We started fresh in a lot of ways, and beyond just musically" he added.
