The 2011 Grammy nominations may have not yet been finalized, but the announcement date has. According to the Grammy's official site, nominations will be revealed on Dec.1 as a festive event, what they call the "Countdown to Music's Biggest Night."
The one-hour, live Grammy nominations concert will air on CBS, Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 10–11PM ET, commencing the the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards which will occur Sunday, Feb. 13 at 8PM ET.
Like previous nomination events, this year's will be full of nominee winners in some of the biggest categories, as well as performances from previous Grammy winners. It's highly likely that the Black Eyed Peas will make a return to the nomination stage, and maybe last year's winners Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Kings of Leon will perform as well.
Last year, LL Cool J hosted the Grammy countdown event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, with notable performances by the Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell.
