News of the new EP broke last week, when Kanye posted a tweet that read, "Me and jay bout to drop a 5 song album called 'Watch the Throne.'" So far, there hasn't been any word on when it will drop, and neither artist has released an official tracklist. As we reported earlier however, the rapper has already laid a new 'Power' remix track with Jay-Z, which will be included on the forthcoming EP.
West also recently unveiled the album's second track, titled 'Monster,' featuring contributions from Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and, curiously enough, Bon Iver. Considering his reaction to the song on his Twitter account, Kanye certainly seems pleased with the final product. "MONSTER... can we just talk about Nicki's verse???????!!!!!!!!! I toooooooooooooooold yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallll!!!!!!!!!!!!," reads one tweet.
At this point, we'll have to wait for a release date, and what other songs and artists Kanye and Jay will include on their collaboration EP. Kanye's still untitled album, moreover, doesn't hit stores until Nov. 16. In the meantime, though, Kanye fans can at least get a taste of new music every week, through the rapper's 'G.O.O.D Friday' giveaway.
As the Boombox explains, West recently promised to release a brand new song every Friday, from August until Christmas, with 'Monster' being the most recent installment of the series. "It may be my song, it may be a new Jay song etc..." the mogul explained on Twitter. "I'm calling it good Fridays. Y'all know every Friday ya'll gone have a new joint from our family. We look at the game completely different now."
