Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, '40 Day Dream' -- New Song

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros embark on a '40 Day Dream' in their new radio single off their debut fan-praised album, 'Up and Below.'

Hand-clapping opens the track -- with the help of the band's 10-piece ensemble -- while chopstick-style piano-playing mixed with accordion and ethereal electric guitar melodies add to the song's lyrics of living in a never-ending, nostalgic dream of being in love:

"It's the magical mystery kind / Must be a lie / Bye bye to the too good to be true kind of love / Oooooh I could die / Oooooh now, I could die."

Frontman Alex Ebert named the band Edward Sharpe after a fictional character from a novel, who embarks on a mission to save mankind, but ends up chasing romance instead.

Check out '40 Day Dream' over on AOL Radio's Indie Rock Mix station, which covers an eclectic mix of new and old tracks.
