Hand-clapping opens the track -- with the help of the band's 10-piece ensemble -- while chopstick-style piano-playing mixed with accordion and ethereal electric guitar melodies add to the song's lyrics of living in a never-ending, nostalgic dream of being in love:
"It's the magical mystery kind / Must be a lie / Bye bye to the too good to be true kind of love / Oooooh I could die / Oooooh now, I could die."
Frontman Alex Ebert named the band Edward Sharpe after a fictional character from a novel, who embarks on a mission to save mankind, but ends up chasing romance instead.
