Yet another new Linkin Park song, the piano-heavy, stomping 'Blackout,' has surfaced from their highly anticipated new album 'A Thousand Suns.'
'Blackout' is the fourth song to be unleased from the new album, following 'The Catalyst,' 'Wretches and Kings,' and 'Waiting for the End.'
Deep, rich piano chords blend with a subterranean bass line to form a haunting low-end foundation, which clashes in the best way possible with the infectious, upbeat drumming -- which, oddly enough, is amazingly well suited for pumping up any lagging joggers out there.
Meanwhile, the song's alternatively rapped and sung lyrics aim at a person who has broken an important trust. It's not 100% clear, but we're guessing somebody got dumped: "No remorse for the trust you're breaking / You run but then back you fall / Suffocate in the mess you're making / You can't get enough you take and take and take and take and take."
Linkin Park will perform a special, intimate show in New York City on the Sept. 14 release date of 'A Thousand Suns.' While you wait for more U.S. tour dates to be announced, you can listen to 'Blackout' on AOL Radio's New Rock First station.
