The 'G.O.O.D Friday' series continues with Kanye West's 'Lord Lord Lord,' a spacey R&B jam featuring vocals by Charlie Wilson and the emcee lyrics of Mos Def, producer beastie Swizz Beatz and Wu-Tang's Raekwon.
A slower-tempo, soul track in the style of 'Devil in a New Dress,' 'Lord Lord Lord' is layered with trickling synthesizer effects and Charlie Wilson's improvisational vocals that cue in as the chorus -- as Mos Def, Kanye, Swizz and Raekwon, unravel their unique talent in various versus.
West's verse proves to be puncher, and slightly vulgar, confidently spewing, ""I got lines that's better than n----s albums, plural / King of the urban, make ya s--- sound rural," in comparison to Mos' tamer lines of artifice: "Cool ruler standing still, sweatin' through the shade / He knew those lights only grew bright to fade / Dead-wrong pageantry, lottery and games / Sleight of hand provided by extravagant and fake."
Swizz jumps in on the third verse, calling himself Mr. Deeds adding, "You see me I'ma a bank hogger / Coming through your hood and I brings trucks / With 25's on it like what the f---." Capping off the track is Raekwon, with raw lyrics and all flow, no breaks: "You a piece of steak I'd rather be that than some bacon / Every project is a throne, only just bigger stones they throw / That why I wear a big hat and roll weed."
Kanye's album 'Dark Twisted Fantasy' is expected in stores Nov. 16. To hear 'Lord Lord Lord,' head over to AOL Radio's New Hip-Hop First station.
