Gucci Mane's new song, 'Haterade,' is rooted in the timeless hip-hop narrative of triumph over adversity.
Although the song's tempo is generally slow, smooth and sauntering, Mane's lyrics are anything but that, as Gucci, Pharrell and Nicki Minaj chime in with their own unique tale of having to deal with the showers of 'Haterade' they've all experienced.
With its lounge-like, easygoing rhythm, 'Haterade' somehow manages to turn what would normally be an uptempo, aggressive song into a leisurely club jam.
'Haterade' is featured on Gucci Mane's latest album, 'The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted,' which was released on Sept. 28, and is the official follow-up to 2009's 'The State vs. Radric Davis.' To listen to 'Haterade,' tune in to the New Hip-Hop First Station on AOL Radio.
