Top 40 Pop Songs Chart -- June 2012

A & M

Maroon 5 rings in the new month at number 1 with their hit 'Payphone.' The song narrowly beats out Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe,' which took the number 2 spot.

This month features a return of many old favorites such as Usher, Rihanna and Katy Perry. Jay Sean checks in as well, with his first Fresh 40 song since 'Do You Remember' in 2009.

Plenty of rising artists are new to the countdown with their debut tracks as well. Fresh cut from the likes of Sammy Adams, Rita Ora, and Cher Lloyd have made their way up the ranks. Meanwhile, boy bands are making a strong comeback, as The Wanted and One Direction have both secured spots on the chart.
