Christina Perri, 'Arms' -- New Song

Budding star Christina Perri is ready to follow-up her successful debut single 'Jar of Hearts' with the new song 'Arms,' from her upcoming album 'Lovestrong.'

Like its predecessor, 'Arms' is built around a piano melody. The track starts off as a slow love song, but midway through, drums kick in and take the song in an up-tempo direction.

Perri begins, "I never thought that you would be the one to hold my heart / You came around and you knocked me off the ground from the start."

Later, the relationship seems to be in question when Perri expresses self-doubt, singing, "The world is coming down on me and I can't find a reason to be loved / I never wanna leave you but I can't make you bleed if I'm alone." Ultimately, she finds comfort, as she ends by repeating the hook, "You put your arms around me and I'm home."

Reba McEntire, 'When Love Gets A Hold Of You' -- New Song

Reba McEntire sings about the excitement of finding that special someone on 'When Love Gets a Hold of You,' a new single from her 34th album, 'All the Woman I Am.'

The up-tempo track features Reba warning a potential partner that soon she'll be the sole focus of his attention. In her distinctive voice, she sings:

"You'll wake up in the middle of the night / I'll be the only thing on your mind / Won't be able to shake it loose / When love gets a hold of you / Before you have your first cup of coffee / You're gonna pick up the phone and call me / Won't believe what you say and do / When love gets a hold of you."

'When Love Gets a Hold of You' was co-written by songwriters Jessi Alexander, Jon Randall and Gary Nicholson, who have all had successful writing careers in Nashville and beyond - Alexander even co-wrote the Miley Cyrus hit 'The Climb.'

Reba is set to host this Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, where she'll perform 'When Love Gets a Hold of You' live.

Chris Brown, 'She Ain't You' -- New Song

Chris Brown pines for an old flame on the melancholy new song 'She Ain't You,' from his latest effort 'F.A.M.E.'

The mid-tempo song borrows the music from the Michael Jackson classic 'Human Nature.' Brown sings that he's found a new girl, but he's not happy because he still prefers his ex:

"You make it hard for me to see somebody else / I'm calling her your name / Yeah, it's messed up, cause I'm thinking 'bout you."

Brown bluntly adds that he'd gladly make a trade to get his ex back: "If I could just trade her in, I would / Cause nobody can pass you up."

Owl City, 'Alligator Sky' Feat. Shawn Chrystopher -- New Song

owlcitymusic.com

Owl City, the electropop project of singer-songwriter Adam Young, is back with a new song, 'Alligator Sky,' featuring Los Angeles rapper Shawn Chrystopher.

'Alligator Sky' follows the typical Owl City template. Computerized instruments provide a gentle musical base while Young sings about the power of imagination.

Owl City's indietronica vibe may not seem like an ideal place for a guest rapper, but Young and Chrystopher make the pairing work. While many guest rappers only offer a standalone verse, Chrystopher chimes in throughout the song, his forceful delivery serving as a change-up to Young's more hazy, dream-like vocals.

In the second verse, the Florida native sings about cruising down by the river. Then, the song unexpectedly explodes with a booming chorus, featuring stomping 'We Will Rock You'-like drums and hand claps.

Martina McBride, 'Teenage Daughters' -- New Song

Martina McBride sings about the frustrations of being the parent of 'Teenage Daughters' on the lead single from her first album in two years.

McBride co-wrote the song with the Warren Brothers, and with three daughters ranging from age 5 to 16, the country music icon certainly brings her own personal experience to the track.

Singing alongside a sunny acoustic guitar melody, McBride laments that her girls are getting older: "My baby's growin' up / She thinks she's fallin' all in love and that I hate her / At 17, she's just like me when I was 17 / So I don't blame her."

"Oh lover, don't you dare slow down / Go longer, you can last more rounds / Push harder, you're almost there now / So go lover, make mama proud / And when we're done, I don't wanna feel my legs."
