How to Sign Up for AOL Radio Plus

With AOL Radio Plus, you can enjoy ad-free listening, unlimited song skipping, optional ABC News and ESPN updates, complete song lyrics and -- coming soon -- the ability to listen to select AOL Radio stations on your mobile device without an Internet connection.

AOL Radio Plus costs $3.99 a month. Registration is safe and secure and you can cancel at any time.

To upgrade your free AOL Radio account to AOL Radio Plus:


1) Launch the AOL Radio player and log in to AOL Radio with your free AOL Radio account


2) Click on the 'Upgrade' link in the menu of your e-mail address OR the 'Upgrade to see what's next' link





3) Click the 'Buy Now' button






4) Enter all necessary information including a valid credit card (NOTE: Transactions are done securely via Trustwave. For more information, click here.)




5) You will get an 'Upgrading' screen.





6) Once the transaction has gone through, you will get a Thank You notice.



Note: Your credit card will be automatically billed each month until you cancel.




How to Cancel Your AOL Radio Plus Subscription



1) Launch the AOL Radio player and log in to AOL Radio with your AOL Radio Plus account


2) Click on your username and select Account Info from the dropdown


3) On the Account Information box, click Cancel Subscription




4) Confirm your cancellation





5) A canceled subscription email will be sent to you on the last day your subscription will be active.

1) How do I get to the NEW AOL Radio powered by Slacker web player?

You can access the new AOL Radio player at http://www.aolradio.com.


2) How will I get to the NEW AOL Radio powered by Slacker iPhone, iPad Touch or iPad app?

The new AOL Radio powered by Slacker app is now available on the iTunes store. If you already have the AOL Radio app iPhone/iPad/iTouch installed, you will have to upgrade in order to continue listening to AOL Radio stations. You can do this through the iTunes App Store on your computer or directly on your device.

3) What is different and the same about AOL Radio powered by Slacker?

There will be 50% less audio commercials, a longer player sleep timeout PLUS new and improved features along with an all-new design for both the web and mobile players.

AOL Radio's 200 stations will continue to be programmed by our expert music directors and we've also added ABC News and ESPN Radio to our station offering.


4) Is AOL Radio still free?

Yes, AOL Radio will continue to be free and will have new and improved features along with 50% fewer audio commercials.

Coming in December, we will offer two paid premium options which will allow you to listen to AOL Radio ad-free with unlimited skipping as well as on-demand listening. (see Question 11)

1) How do I sign up for an account?

After a brief trial period, there will be a simple, free registration process required for continued free use of the NEW AOL Radio web player and iPhone app. Registering will allow us to remember your favorite stations, songs, custom stations, and for the free products, it will allow us to deliver relevant advertising. Per our privacy policy, we will NOT share your information.


To register, click on the 'Create Account' link on the top righthand corner of the AOL Radio powered by Slacker player. Registration is FREE and only requires an email address, birth year, gender and zip code.

Nickelback, 'Bottoms Up' -- New Song


Nickelback has released 'Bottoms Up,' a new rock-heavy track from their forthcoming album 'Here and Now' due for release November 21, 2011. The song is one of two new tunes made available today to radio -- the second song titled 'When We Stand Together,' a lighter track in the realm of older hits such as 'Gotta Be Somebody' or 'Someday.'

Jason Derulo, 'Make It Up as We Go' -- New Song

Warner Bros.

Jason Derulo has released 'Make It Up as We Go,' a new track off his forthcoming album 'Future History' due in stores September 27, 2011. The song follows Derulo's first two singles, 'Don't Wanna Go Home' and 'It Girl,' which is currently climbing the radio charts.

'Make It Up as We Go' is an upbeat party track that has the 21-year-old superstar suggesting spontaneity in a relationship. "Are we together are we not? We don't need a label when things are going so well. After a few drinks I speak my mind and say, 'Let's MAKE IT UP AS WE GO!'" says Derulo.

'Future History' is Derulo's second studio album. As for the title, Derulo tells The Daily Telegraph that he hopes the album will be one that people will remember him for after he's gone. ""I would like my music to live after me... I want my music to be what is in the history books in the future."
