We the Kings' Travis Clark Shares His Favorite Tunes

Travis Clark of We The Kings
We the Kings' Travis Clark is today's guest blogger for AOL Radio, sharing his favorite tunes. The singer/guitarist (and pianist) picked songs that have a strong, lyrical impact on him -- especially since the red-headed rocker has penned quite a few songs for the band. With another successful studio album under their belt, 2009's 'Smile Kid,' the band is continuing to tour through August. Ranging from Death Cab for Cutie to Eric Clapton, here are Clark's favorite tunes.

For me, what makes a great song is how much feeling goes into every aspect of the song. I love it when you can tell that the artists really mean what they sing, which is why, in my opinion, lyrics can make or break a song. When I'm writing for We the Kings, I make sure that I don't force any phrases or words into the music that don't sound natural. I love listening to music, especially being a songwriter, and hearing how other artists wrote their songs; so I've combined a list of my 10 favorites! Here you go, have fun :)

In this song, he is able to use probably the most lyrics I've ever heard in a song without sounding congested. He's had "bigger" songs, but this one is my jam!
